Not alot of words
I don't have alot of words about today.
It was sunshiney and except for a little 'tude from some "older" children everyone was happy and smiley. (apparently sitting around having your picture taken isn't loads of fun...whatever.)
So, mostly it's just pics for today....

Em and BoBo
So the picture is a few days old. But I let the day slip away without capturing the picture I had in my head to go with the moment....as I am sure happens in many homes with three kids and busy schedules. However, I at least wanted to commemorate a small milestone, because Emily is the third child. She has no baby book, no video has been taken of her. Fortunately, I have been taking pictures...but she will be lucky if I don't lose those on my hard drive. I digress, she is a third child, and milestones are celebrated, but rarely remembered in their exact time and nature. But today, I wanted to rememdy that with one small rememberance...
Today at lunch, it was just the three of us, Nick, Emily and me. Emily was finishing and babbling and playing a little bit. I was talking to her, and saying "mommy", "Bo Bo". And Emily Grace looked right at Nick and said "Bo Bo". We clapped and cheered and encouraged her accomplishment...and she did it again "Bo Bo". This is a miracle, this learning of language. The sound and the structure, a tiny little brain absorbing so much. (She crawls right for the stairs and sits on the bottom step and when you go to pick her up she shakes her head "no, no, no"). And afterward, I watched her practice the sound again and again and again without making any verbal sounds.
Of course, we couldn't get her to do it for love nor money at dinnertime. So, for Nick and I we will have to wait until she comes around again. And eventually he will be annoyed by her requests for "Bo Bo" I am sure, but today he was as delighted as me.
