It's the smile

So, today was pretty much a normal, average, nothing super exciting kind of Friday. I hope you guys don't get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with an average kind of day. It makes you stop and take time to appreciate the little things.

Like, me trying to take pictures of Emily smiling. Em smiles literally almost non-stop. If you glance sideways at her she smiles, if you walk into a room she smiles, you can catch her smiling when she doesn't realize you are watching. But should you hold a camera to your face--instantly the smile disappears...and you have to work REALLY hard to get it back. So, I did, I worked really hard, and I got one or to adequate smiling pictures. But really, what is it about a camera that makes that smile run for the hills.

And Frick and Frack here...completely inseperable, but also enemy soldiers, constantly engaged in battle (and admiration)--what IS that? How can the pendulum swing so easily back and forth? So, after dinner, they decide they want "Go-Gurt" which I say they need to eat in the kitchen. They comply, by sticking their chairs on the edge of the kitchen and the living room, lest they miss a second of the Flintstones. And, look at them sucking yogurt out of a plastic...what is that a plastic bag? What is the appeal of sucking oddly colored green yogurt out of a tube? Maybe you need to be six to have a true appreciation for this particular culinary delicacy. Really when I think about it, it is just entirely to ooky for me.

And, I had to make a run to Super Target for necessities, so I left Daryn at home with all three bambinos. Em was sleeping and the boys were gearing up to shoot golf balls in the front yard. When I make it home two hours later, they are just putting things away to come inside--and I see that Little Miss has managed to make her way outside in the exersaucer with all the boys. She has all three of these men wrapped around her finger already...I'm telling you, it's the smile.
